Yes, Pitane Link works on a phone. You can open and use the application without any problems on both Android and iOS devices.
We we recommend using at least a tablet. The interface and information are more clearly visible to your customer on a larger screen. In addition, tickets can be easily transferred to the traveler's phone via a QR code, and operating a tablet is considerably more convenient and safer while performing your work.
In short: a phone is fine, but a tablet clearly offers greater ease of use and security.
Yes. Pitane Link is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA), allowing you to easily use the software on your smartphone or tablet. In addition, the previously released Pitane Driver App can also be used in combination with Pitane Link. Since Pitane Driver will soon be replaced by Pitane Link, which offers many more features, we recommend that you start using Pitane Link right away.
No. Pitane Link is not a replacement for the taximeter. The system supports communication between vehicle, driver and back office, but does not take over any of the legally mandated functions of a taximeter.
Depending on the type of transportation - pre-ordered transportation or a boarding ride - one can use a taximeter or a registration app. Always consult the official government information to determine which solution is permitted and compliant in your situation.
In addition, Pitane Link does offer a link with Chiron, the Flemish government's database for trip registration and compliance with Flemish cab legislation.
Pitane Link is thus a complementary platform that supports communication and registration, but not a replacement measurement system for the taximeter.
Yes, upon registration, we will send a transport certificate and trip log for your company. These documents are intended solely to demonstrate that the Pitane Link Portal is capable of generating all legally required documents when you need to present them.
We would like to explicitly emphasize that active use of our software, including an actual connection to Chiron, is a necessary condition. Specifically, this means that you:
- start your service in the system every day;
- correctly records trips by starting and stopping them;
- closes the service record at the end of the service.
Only with correct and consistent use of the software can it be guaranteed that the generated documents are complete, up-to-date, and compliant with applicable regulations.
Pitane Link is completely cloud-based. You don't have to install anything locally. You work through the browser or through the PWA on your mobile device, and all updates happen automatically in the cloud.
No, there is no direct link with Uber or Bolt. For this type of transportation, rides must must be manually entered into Pitane Link in order to comply with the mandatory Chiron registration for such services.
If you do not wish to enter the tours manually, you can for an additional use the Pitane Mobility API. Please consult your software developer to see if integration into your own systems is possible.

Yes. Both the driver and the back office can enter trip requests. The driver can enter rides directly through the app/PWA. Through the back office portal, you can record all reservations , create customers and schedule ride assignments in advance on a driver.
Yes. Customers can access your own customer portal and there submit ride requests themselves . The portal is available in four languagesso customers can easily make reservations in their own language.
You don't need your own website to use a QR code booking form. With Pitane Link, your customers can easily submit a request by scanning the QR code.
The information you enter is automatically linked to your portal, giving you immediate access to new ride requests. This allows you to receive and process bookings quickly and efficiently, without having to invest in your own website or complex technical solutions.

No. We provide the the Chiron connection for you. This includes test drives, the mandatory transport certificate and the trip log . After activating the portal, we will call you for the technical Chiron processing and you will receive all the necessary information by email, so that you can easily forward it to the municipality for further processing of your application.
Yes. In practice, one uses a ticket printer connected via Bluetooth, so you can print the ticket directly after the trip. In addition, you can also directly to the customer via e-mail. The minimum subscription period for Pitane Link is one year. At the end of this period, the subscription can be renewed or modified in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.

Yes. Pitane Link connects with approved CDT providers in the Netherlands, ensuring that you are fully compliant with the regulations for the Central Taxi Database (CDT). Consult your CDT service provider to find out whether the device or solution offered connects to Pitane Mobility and/or Pitane Link software.
The use or obligation of PEPPOL for businesses has no impact on Pitane Link Chiron for you as a taxi driver, as our software does not produce invoices but only generates transport tickets. Please consult your accountant for more information.
Pitane Link Business does have a link to PEPPOL service providers. This link is available as an option and can be added to your order. For more information or to activate the link, please contact the helpdesk .
Yes. Depending on the chosen subscription, your license is expandable without limitation for multiple drivers and vehicles, as long as they are within the same CBE or VAT number of the Chiron or CDT connection.
Only when new documents are necessary for the municipality to complete your application will we support you in preparing them. If you do not consider this support necessary, or if you simply want to add additional vehicles to your license, these fees are of course not applicable.
Typically, your Pitane Link portal will be delivered within 1 to 2 business days following your registration and online payment. We then activate together with you by phone the link with Chiron or the CDT , so that you can start using the system immediately.
